The Best 10 Economics Papers of 2011

This is very subjective. Some of them came out as working papers in 2011, or they were published in 2011. For what is worth, this is my list:
  1. Economics and Emigration: Trillion-Dollar Bills on the Sidewalk? by Michael Clemens.
  2. Governance and Prison Gangs by David Skarbek.
  3. Trafficking Networks and the Mexican Drug War by Melissa Dell.
  4. A Code of Ethics for Economists by David Colander
  5. Lending to the Borrower from Hell: Debt and Default in the Age of Philip II by Drelichman and Voth.
  6. The Persistent Effects of Peru's Mining Mita by Melissa Dell.
  7. Copyright Protection, Technological Change, and The Quality of New Products: Evidence from Recorded Music since Napster by Joel Waldfogel.
  8. Political Connection and Government Patronage: Evidence from Chinese Manufacturing Firms by Bei Qin.
  9. What Determines Productivity? by Chad Syverson.
  10. Can Big Push Interventions Take Small-scale Farmers out of Poverty? Insights from the Sauri Millennium Village in Kenya by Wanjala and Muradian.
What would you add or what would you take away?
